Slower Mojito
A Cuban classic that’s crisp, refreshing, and vibrant. Fresh mint, lime and soda water create a perfect balance of sweet, citrus, and herbal.
Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.
Ingredients
10–12 mint leaves
1 Tbsp sugar
½ lime, cut into quarters
2 oz rum
Soda water
Instructions
Add the mint and sugar to a Tom Collins glass. Gently stir to coat the leaves with sugar.
Add the lime pieces and gently muddle to release their oils and juice.
Pour in the rum and give it a gentle stir.
Fill the glass with ice and top with soda water.
Stir one final time to fully incorporate the drink.
Notes from the Bar
The “Slower” Method
Instead of heavy muddling, this recipe calls for a gentler approach, coating the mint in sugar and easing out the lime juice for a more delicate, balanced flavor.
Rum Choice
White rum is the classic pick, but aged rum adds depth and a subtle caramel note that’s delicious in cooler months.
Sugar Options
Granulated white sugar is standard, but raw sugar or demerara adds a richer flavor. You can also swap for simple syrup for easier mixing.
Ice Texture
Crushed ice makes this cocktail ultra-refreshing, but cubed ice works fine if that’s what you have.
