Negroni

A strong and stylish classic. The Negroni’s equal-parts formula of gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth creates a bold, bittersweet sip that’s simple and sophisticated.

Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.

A vibrant red Negroni served over a large clear ice cube in a short rocks glass, garnished with a fresh orange wedge.
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 oz gin

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 1 oz sweet vermouth

Instructions
  1. Add gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice.

  2. Stir until well chilled, about 20–30 seconds.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.

  4. Garnish with an orange twist or wedge.

Optional: You can also build the drink directly in the glass. Add all ingredients over ice and stir to combine.

Notes from the Bar

Keep It Cold, Stir It Bold

Unlike many cocktails, the Negroni isn’t shaken. Stirring gently chills and dilutes just enough to let the bold bitterness shine without bruising the spirit. Use a bar spoon if you have one, or swirl with confidence using what you've got.

Big Ice, Big Style

We love this served over a large clear cube. It keeps things cold without over-diluting and gives that upscale bar feel. Here’s our favorite clear ice mold on Amazon.

No Stir Glass? No Problem

This is a forgiving classic. Don’t have a mixing glass or bar spoon? Just build your Negroni right in the glass over a big cube of ice. Stir gently with whatever you’ve got. It’s all about the flavor, not the fuss.

Easy as 1:1:1

The Negroni is traditionallyequal parts gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth, making it one of the easiest cocktails to memorize and master. No complicated measurements here, which makes it easy to double up or bath for a party. You can try is this way, but we personally prefer the slightly more spirit forwared recipe we've notated above.

Make It a Date Nite

This cocktail is part of something bigger for us. It's a ritual we return to week after week.

Each week, we create a Date Nite designed around one drink, one thoughtful menu, and the feeling of slowing down together. The kind of night where the table is set with intention, the music hums softly in the background, and the evening unfolds without rushing.

For this Date Nite, we’ve paired a cocktail with a cozy, make-ahead-friendly menu, so you can enjoy the process without spending the whole night in the kitchen. We also include little touches we love like timing notes, a head start option, and a playlist to set the mood. Feel to pair the meal with any of our cocktails.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence. And turning an ordinary night at home into something that feels quietly special.

Each Date Nite includes a curated menu, cocktail pairing and a playlist, as well as another thoughtful extras like make-ahead tips, leftover ideas or table talk prompts to carry the night.
