Hibiscus Gin Fizz
A silky, effervescent cocktail that’s equal parts floral, tart, and luxurious. Hibiscus gives it a vivid hue and bright tang, balanced by creamy foam and a hint of botanical gin.
Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.
Spiced Hibiscus Syrup
Ingredients
2 cups water
1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
2 orange peels
1 cup sugar (or equal to the amount of brewed tea)
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine water, hibiscus flowers, ginger, cinnamon sticks, and orange peels.
Bring to a gentle simmer, cover, and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Remove from heat and let steep for 15 minutes.
Strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing gently to extract the liquid (you should have about 1 cup).
Return the liquid to the saucepan and add sugar, stirring over low heat until fully dissolved.
Cool to room temperature, then transfer to a jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 3 weeks.

1 oz soda water (in bottom of glass)

Discard ice and shake again (dry shake) to build the foam.

Poke a hole in the foam and add a touch more soda for a dramatic dome.
Garnish with star anise.
Notes from the Bar
Foam Technique
Dry-shake all ingredients without ice first to build a stable, creamy foam before adding ice and shaking again.
Cream Balance
Heavy cream softens hibiscus’ natural tartness and gives the drink its velvety, luxurious texture.
Gin Choice
Empress 1908 gin enhances the color, creating an extra-vivid jewel tone that looks stunning in the glass.
Pouring Tip
Pour gently over soda to preserve the layered effect and frothy crown on top.
Glassware
Serve in a tall Collins glass to highlight the height of the foam and the cocktail’s elegant pink gradient.
Garnish
Top with a dried lemon wheel, hibiscus flower, or rosemary sprig for a festive finish.
