Makes 1 cocktail
1 1/2 oz reposado tequila
1/2 oz mezcal
1/4 oz agave syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
1 dash orange bitters
Orange peel, for garnish
Add the tequila, mezcal, agave syrup, and both bitters to a mixing glass with ice and stir for 20-30 seconds, until well chilled and properly diluted. Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass, express an orange peel over the drink, and drop it in.
NOTES FROM THE BAR
Heads up: We may earn a small commission on products we’ve linked here. We only recommend the real-deal favorites from our kitchen.
Why Reposado
Reposado tequila brings soft oak and warmth that mirrors bourbon, making it a natural base for an old fashioned–style drink.
Mezcal Balance
A small amount of mezcal adds gentle smoke without overpowering the cocktail. Keep it subtle so the drink stays balanced and refined.
Agave Syrup Tip
Agave syrup dissolves seamlessly and complements the tequila better than traditional simple syrup. A little goes a long way.
Ice Matters
A single large ice cube slows dilution and keeps the drink structured from first sip to last.

Each Date Nite is thoughtfully planned for you, so you are not stuck deciding what to cook or how to pull the night together. We pair one cocktail with a complete menu, a simple flow from prep to plate, and small details that make the evening feel easy and connected from start to finish.
It is not about perfection. It is about presence, and creating space to reconnect, whether that is with your partner or simply with yourself, over a really good meal.
