Notes from the Bar
Vanilla Syrup
To make vanilla syrup, combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Let cool completely before using.
If preferred, you can substitute a small smidge of vanilla bean paste in place of vanilla extract for a deeper vanilla flavor.
Bitters Option
Toasted almond bitters add a soft, nutty warmth that complements the blueberries beautifully. If you do not have them on hand, Angostura bitters are a great substitute. → Link to toasted almond bitters
Straining Tip
Double straining removes blueberry skins and pulp, creating a smoother, more refined sip while keeping the drink light and clean. → Link to our favorite strainer
Mocktail Note
This drink is fully non alcoholic. The bitters are used in very small amounts for flavor, but can be omitted if desired.
