Barrymore Room

A vibrant, berry-forward bourbon sour with a silky egg-white foam, balanced by sweet vermouth and a hint of fresh lime.

Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.

A bright pink bourbon cocktail served in a chilled coupe glass, topped with a frothy egg-white layer and garnished with a fresh mint sprig against a dark background.
Ingredients
  • 2 whole strawberries or 4 raspberries

  • ½ oz simple syrup

  • 1 ½ oz bourbon

  • ½ oz sweet vermouth

  • ½ oz lime juice

  • 1 egg white

  • Berry or mint sprig, for garnish


Instructions
  1. Add the berries and simple syrup to a shaker and muddle well.

  2. Add bourbon, sweet vermouth, lime juice, and the egg white.

  3. Dry shake (no ice) for 15–20 seconds to build the foam.

  4. Add ice and shake again for 15 seconds to chill.

  5. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.

  6. Garnish with a mint sprig or fresh berry.

Berry Choice

Ripe strawberries or raspberries make all the difference here. If they’re on the tart side, add a touch more simple syrup to keep the balance just right.


Dry Shake Technique

Always dry shake the mixture first (without ice). This step builds that velvety, cloud-like foam that makes the Barrymore Room so elegant.


Sweet Vermouth

Choose a high-quality sweet vermouth. Its rich herbal notes round out the bourbon and fruit beautifully.


Egg White

The egg white creates the silky foam and smooth mouthfeel. If you prefer, you can substitute aquafaba for a vegan option.


Garnish Tip

A fresh mint sprig adds lift and fragrance with every sip, while a berry garnish leans sweeter and more decadent.


Glassware

Serve in a chilled coupe to keep the texture airy and the aromatics bright from the first sip to the last.
