Our Honest Luxome Bedding Review & Why We’re Obsessed

I’ll admit it: I am queen of the bed. Truly. I love blankets, I love cozy, and I love that moment every night when Kevin and I crawl into bed and I say, “This is my favorite time of day!” I even wake up in the mornings sometimes, perfectly awake, and linger because I just love the feeling of being in bed. Comfort is my thing, and bedding is my love language.

That’s why, a year and a half ago when we purchased our new mattress, I decided to finally invest in bedding that lived up to the mattress. After researching different options, I decided on bamboo and took the leap with Luxome, and I’m so glad I did.

This is my honest Luxome bedding review, complete with what we bought, why we love it, and a few tips for making it last.

Why Bamboo Bedding Is a Game-Changer

Bamboo has been a total revelation. It’s both cooling and luxurious, breathable and warm. Wherever your body is, it stays perfectly warm, but if you kick your leg to the other side of the bed, it feels instantly cool. It’s like built-in “cool spots” under the covers. I'm not sure about you, but even as a child I loved those cool pockets of the bed, and with bamboo, the contrast is next level.

And the softness? These are the softest sheets I’ve ever owned. Truly. When they first arrive, they feel almost silky-satiny, but trust me when I say after a wash or two, they transform into pure, buttery goodness.

Our Luxome Setup: Sheets, Blanket, and the Extra Plush Throw

We started with two luxury sheet sets and the lightweight bamboo blanket. As a lifelong hot sleeper (that comes from a family of all hot sleepers), I knew I didn’t need anything heavy, even in the winter. Together, the sheet + blanket combo has been perfect for me and even perfect for Kevin who's not a hot sleeper like I am.

But my absolute favorite piece is the extra plush throw. We went with the extra large size to keep at the foot of our bed, and it’s my go-to for afternoon naps. It’s plenty big to stretch across a queen or king, and I even pull it onto the sofa when I want something extra luxe (Bruno loves it too, so it feels like a treat for him too).

Luxome also makes comforters, towels, robes, pajamas and more. I haven’t tried them yet, but they’re on my radar, especially the bamboo towels! But first I'll most likely outfit out guest bed with all of our favorites!

A Little Extra Luxury: Pillowcases

Along with our Luxome bedding, I also treated myself more recently to two Blissy pillowcases for the pillow I sleep on. My hair is super fine and I’ve got the craziest double crown (maybe even a triple crown back there!), and these pillowcases have helped calm the back of my hair so much. It feels like a small upgrade, but it’s one that makes a big difference in my day-to-day.

Care Tips for Bamboo Bedding

If you invest in good bedding, you want it to last. Here’s what works for us:

Wash them alone. Don’t mix with towels or other laundry. This keeps them from pilling.
Use cold water. The tag suggests delicate cycle, but I’ve found cold gets spots out better.
Dry on delicate. Sometimes it takes two rounds, but it’s worth it.
Spot treat with Dawn. A little dab directly on stains works wonders before washing.

Our sheets have held up beautifully with this routine, and they still feel just as soft and luxurious as the first week.
