START WITH GOOD TOMATOES

If you can, reach for whole canned San Marzano tomatoes. They’re slightly sweeter and more balanced, and really shine in a simple sauce like this.


PASTA, YOUR WAY

We used pappardelle here, but feel free to use whatever you love or already have on hand. Penne, rigatoni, or spaghetti all work beautifully.


MAKE IT YOUR OWN

This dish is very flexible. Add Italian sausage like we did, keep it vegetarian with sautéed vegetables, or simply enjoy it with the sauce and cheese.


KEEP IT SIMPLE

We like to transfer the pasta straight from the pot into the sauce to keep things easy and minimize cleanup. No overthinking needed.
