SPICED HIBISCUS SYRUP
We make our own for this one — it's ginger-forward, keeps in the fridge for up to three weeks, and works across a whole collection of cocktails. Full recipe here.
PLAIN HIBISCUS SYRUP OPTION
If you don't want to make the spiced version, a simple hibiscus syrup works too. Make a strong hibiscus tea, then combine equal parts tea and sugar in a saucepan and heat gently until the sugar fully dissolves. Let cool before using.
Dried Hibiscus Flowers
Dried hibiscus flowers are used to make the syrup and also work beautifully as a garnish. → Link to dried hibiscus flowers
STRONG HIBISCUS TEA
Steep 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus in ½ cup boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain and chill completely before using. This gets drizzled over the top of the finished cocktail rather than mixed in.
THE DRIZZLE EFFECT
We tried this as a float first, but it didn't hold as a clean top layer. Drizzling it slowly over the finished drink instead gives the cocktail a deeper crimson color with beautiful variation running through it, which ended up being the better result anyway.
GARNISH
A rehydrated hibiscus flower draped over the rim gives the drink its moody, veiled look. Look for dried hibiscus flowers (not just the loose tea) at specialty grocers or online.
Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.
A ritual we return to
Our cocktails are part of something bigger for us. They’re the beginning of Date Nite, a connection-centered experience we created to help you slow down, share a meal, and enjoy time with the one you love.
Each Date Nite is thoughtfully planned for you, so you are not stuck deciding what to cook or how to pull the night together. We pair one cocktail with a complete menu, a simple flow from prep to plate, and small details that make the evening feel easy and connected from start to finish.
It is not about perfection. It is about presence, and creating space to reconnect, whether that is with your partner or simply with yourself, over a really good meal.
