COCKTAIL RECIPE
Makes 1 cocktail
2 oz blanco tequila
1 oz fresh blood orange juice
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz cream of coconut
1/4 oz Winter Spice Syrup
Nutmeg Sugar Rim
Make the Winter Spice Syrup and Nutmeg Sugar Rim using the recipes in Notes from the Bar. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks glass, dip it into the Nutmeg Sugar Rim, and fill with crushed ice. Add the tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice, cream of coconut, and syrup to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds to fully emulsify the cream of coconut, then strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a blood orange wheel, a cinnamon stick, and a pineapple frond.
NOTES FROM THE BAR
Heads up: We may earn a small commission on products we’ve linked here. We only recommend the real-deal favorites from our kitchen.
WINTER SPICE SYRUP
Combine 1 cup water, 2 inches thinly sliced fresh ginger, 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 whole cloves, 4 to 5 whole allspice berries, and 4 to 5 broad strips of orange peel in a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer for 8 to 10 minutes, then remove from heat and steep for 15 to 20 minutes. Strain and measure the finished spice tea, then add an equal volume of sugar and gently heat just until dissolved. Cool completely before using. → Shop our favorite syrup bottles
NUTMEG SUGAR RIM
Combine 2 tbsp granulated sugar with up to 1/8 tsp freshly grated nutmeg on a small plate. Keep the nutmeg light so it adds aroma without covering the fruit.
CREAM OF COCONUT
Use sweetened cream of coconut, not unsweetened coconut cream. Shake the can well before measuring, since it separates as it sits. → Shop our favorite cream of coconut
ADJUST THE COCONUT
Cream of coconut is already sweet, so the spice syrup stays at 1/4 oz for warmth. For more coconut flavor, increase it to 3/4 oz before adding more syrup.
MAKE IT A MOCKTAIL
Skip the tequila, add an extra 1/4 oz spice syrup, and top with a splash of ginger beer.

A RITUAL WE RETURN TO
Our cocktails are part of something bigger for us. They’re the beginning of Date Nite, a connection-centered experience we created to help you slow down, share a meal, and enjoy time with the one you love.
Each Date Nite is thoughtfully planned for you, so you are not stuck deciding what to cook or how to pull the night together. We pair one cocktail with a complete menu, a simple flow from prep to plate, and small details that make the evening feel easy and connected from start to finish.
It is not about perfection. It is about presence, and creating space to reconnect, whether that is with your partner or simply with yourself, over a really good meal.
