Mandarin Sriracha Margarita

A bold, citrus forward margarita with a subtle kick of heat. Fresh muddled mandarin adds natural sweetness and texture, while sriracha brings a gentle spice that builds as you sip.

This cocktail is part of our Date Nite collection, made to be sipped while you cook together.

Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.

A mandarin sriracha margarita served in a lowball glass filled with crushed ice, golden orange in color with visible citrus pulp, garnished with a blood orange wedge against a dark background.
Ingredients
  • 2 ounces tequila

  • ½ ounce Cointreau

  • ¾ ounce fresh lime juice

  • ½ ounce agave (adjust to taste)

  • 2 to 3 mandarin orange segments

  • ½ to 1 teaspoon sriracha (depending on spice preference)

  • Blood orange wedge or lime wheel, for garnish

Instructions
  1. Add the mandarin segments to a shaker and gently muddle.

  2. Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, agave, and sriracha.

  3. Fill with ice and shake until well chilled.

  4. Strain into a glass filled with fresh ice. Fine strain if you prefer a smoother texture.

  5. Garnish with a blood orange wedge or lime wheel.

Notes from the Bar

Spice Level

We tested this and found that ¼ teaspoon of sriracha gets lost. Start with ½ teaspoon and increase up to 1 teaspoon depending on how much heat you want. It should complement the citrus, not overpower it.

Cointreau vs Triple Sec

We recommend Cointreau here for a cleaner, more balanced orange flavor. With the natural sweetness of the mandarins, triple sec can push this drink too sweet.

Muddled Mandarin

Muddling gives this margarita a fresh, juicy, slightly pulpy texture that makes it feel extra special. Fine strain if you want a cleaner, more classic finish.

Make it a Mocktail

Skip the tequila and Cointreau and build this with citrus and bubbles instead. Muddle the mandarin with lime juice, agave, and sriracha, then shake and top with sparkling water or Topo Chico. It keeps the bright citrus and gentle heat while staying light and refreshing.

Garnish Options

A blood orange wedge ties beautifully into the color and the hint of heat, but a simple lime wheel or wedge works just as well and keeps it accessible.
