Makes 1 cocktail
1½ oz bourbon
¾ oz fresh lemon juice
½ oz simple syrup
2 oz dry sparkling wine
1–2 oz sparkling water to top, optional

NOTES FROM THE BAR
Heads up: We may earn a small commission on products we’ve linked here. We only recommend the real-deal favorites from our kitchen.
SPARKLING WINE CHOICE
A dry sparkling wine like brut cava or prosecco keeps this from getting too sweet. Save anything with a rounder, fruitier profile for sipping on its own.
MAKE IT LIGHTER
If you want a slightly lower proof, more effervescent version, top with 1 to 2 ounces of sparkling water along with the sparkling wine. It stretches the drink without watering down the flavor.
BOURBON CHOICE
A bourbon with some citrus and spice notes plays especially well against the lemon here. Nothing too heavy on the oak, you want it to lift, not weigh down, the bubbles. → Shop our favorite coupe glasses
