Notes from the Bar

AGED RUM MATTERS
Not all rum is created equal here. An aged rum with some depth and vanilla notes plays beautifully against the blackberries. We like Appleton or Plantation 3 Stars. Avoid light white rum because it will taste thin against the fruit.
SWEETEN TO TASTE
If your blackberries are very ripe and sweet, start with ¼ oz simple syrup and taste before adding more. The goal is balance, not sweetness.
DOUBLE STRAIN IS WORTH IT
Blackberry seeds and mint bits will end up in your drink without it. A fine mesh strainer over your rocks glass takes ten seconds and makes the drink noticeably cleaner in both texture and appearance.
MAKE IT A MOCKTAIL
Skip the rum and add a splash of sparkling water or ginger beer. The blackberry and mint combination holds up beautifully on its own.
GLASSWARE OPTIONS
A rocks glass with a large cube is the classic presentation. A lowball with crushed ice works too and gives it a more casual, summery feel.
Because every drink deserves a beautiful moment.
A ritual we return to
Our cocktails are part of something bigger for us. They’re the beginning of Date Nite, a connection-centered experience we created to help you slow down, share a meal, and enjoy time with the one you love.
Each Date Nite is thoughtfully planned for you, so you are not stuck deciding what to cook or how to pull the night together. We pair one cocktail with a complete menu, a simple flow from prep to plate, and small details that make the evening feel easy and connected from start to finish.
It is not about perfection. It is about presence, and creating space to reconnect, whether that is with your partner or simply with yourself, over a really good meal.
